As part of its efforts to enhance the capabilities of olive farmers and improve production quality,
MGO implemented a comprehensive program of agricultural and technical training across five
governorates: Nablus, Salfit, Qalqilya, Tulkarm, and Jenin.
The program began by targeting 411 beneficiaries across 14 locations, delivering 84 training sessions
that covered key practices related to olive orchard management—including fertilization, pruning,
supplementary irrigation, and pest and disease control—as well as the use of zinc and boron and the
improvement of olive oil quality.
The company was keen to expand the scope of benefits and reach new farmers in additional villages and
regions by conducting 24 additional training courses.
This brought the total number of training courses conducted to 108, while the reach expanded from 411
targeted beneficiaries at the program’s inception to approximately 1,200 farmers trained to date.
This expansion reflects the company’s commitment to transferring knowledge and technical expertise to
the largest possible number of farmers, as well as contributing to the development of agricultural
practices and the improvement of the quality and competitiveness of Palestinian olive oil.
